This hand-forged spatula features a highly flexible spring steel blade, making it ideal for effortlessly getting underneath food in the pan. The blade is riveted to an elegantly curved stainless steel handle with traditional copper rivets. The tapered handle is simple with, a gentle curve that provides a comfortable, ergonomic grip and a beautifully balanced feel in the hand.
The carbon spring steel blade will naturally tarnish and develop a patina with use. This is a characteristic of the material rather than a fault, and with a little care, the exceptional flexibility of spring steel makes it a wonderful alternative to a conventional stainless steel spatula.
Care
- Hand wash immediately after use.
- Dry thoroughly and promptly after washing.
- If needed, periodically apply a very light coating of nut or seed oil to the blade to help protect it from moisture and corrosion.
